House of Kong coffee shop brand system
A commanding identity built before the first cup is poured.

House of Kong is a specialty coffee concept currently in planning in Florida. The client engaged Identiful for the complete Brand + Social Launch System while the business was still taking shape, giving the brand time to build recognition, consistency and a launch-ready presence before opening day. Rather than beginning with décor or visual preferences alone, the system began with the kind of place House of Kong wants to become: confident but welcoming, premium without feeling precious, and memorable enough to move naturally from storefront signage to a coffee bag, cup sleeve and social feed.
The applications shown are pre-launch brand visualizations. Final production materials and the physical space may evolve during implementation.

Brand + Social Launch System
A complete brand and launch system designed while the concept is still in planning.
A destination before it has an address
Because the concept entered the branding process during planning, the work could begin with the market rather than an existing storefront. We defined the role House of Kong should occupy in the customer's routine, the balance of authority and warmth it needed to project, and how the brand would begin earning recognition before a physical location opened. The name already carried strength. Our task was to keep that strength from becoming aggressive or novelty-driven. The crowned gorilla sits rather than charges. The throne gives the symbol an architectural structure, while the direct gaze creates presence. Together, they frame House of Kong as a destination with confidence, composure and a clear point of view.

The primary lockups, standalone symbol and circular seal create one recognizable identity across wide, vertical and compact spaces.

The symbol was structured as a balanced vector system so its character remains clear from large environmental signage to small digital applications.
Strength, made welcoming
Deep forest green carries the authority of the name without relying on black. Warm ivory softens the experience, architectural brass adds a premium material cue, and a restrained burnt-orange accent introduces energy where the system needs emphasis. Bold geometric typography gives the wordmark weight and immediate recognition. A more editorial supporting voice brings warmth to campaign headlines and longer communication. The custom patterns extend the identity through crown peaks, throne rails, coffee-bean forms and vector construction points, allowing packaging and social content to feel unmistakably House of Kong even when the full logo is not present.

A compact palette and disciplined type hierarchy give the brand enough range for hospitality, packaging and digital communication without losing recognition.

Patterns derived from the identity create tonal embossing, packaging detail and recognizable social frames without turning the gorilla into a repeated mascot.

The digital brand guideline organizes the logo system, color, typography, pattern and usage rules for consistent implementation.
Built for the counter, shelf and street
The physical system follows the customer's path through the future brand: the sign that introduces the House, the bag that carries the product home, the cup that moves through the neighborhood and the box that can support gifting or subscription experiences. Each application uses the same identity differently. The bag gives the vertical lockup room to establish presence. The cup uses the circular seal for quick recognition. Packaging sides carry the pattern language, while front panels remain controlled and easy to identify. The environmental direction translates the palette into warm stone, dark wood, forest green and restrained brass rather than treating the logo as decoration added at the end.

The proposed packaging system combines clean primary panels with tactile pattern, embossing and restrained brass details.

The circular seal and patterned sleeve give the takeaway cup recognition from multiple angles while keeping the application simple enough for daily service.

The planned environmental direction translates the brand into material, light and signage before final architectural production begins.
The launch starts before opening day
For a concept in planning, social content is not an afterthought. It is the first public space the brand can inhabit. The Social Brief translated the identity into a pre-launch voice, content pillars and a template system that can build recognition while the physical business moves toward opening. The content system balances coffee ritual, brand story, education, behind-the-build progress and Florida community context. Templates provide structure for posts and stories without forcing every piece into the same layout. The initial plan sequences the story from introduction and anticipation to product education and eventual opening communication, while leaving dates and operational claims flexible until they are confirmed.
Pre-launch content pillars
The Ritual
Product moments, preparation and sensory details.
Behind the House
Planning, materials, packaging and progress.
Coffee Knowledge
Useful, concise education without gatekeeping.
Meet the House
Identity, philosophy and the experience being created.
Florida Community
Local rhythm and neighborhood relevance without claiming an unconfirmed address.
Opening Journey
Anticipation and milestones without publishing dates before they are operationally approved.

Post and story templates translate the brand into a flexible pre-launch publishing system rather than a set of isolated graphics.

The opening feed balances brand, product, education, process and anticipation as one recognizable narrative.
