Massimo Bakery Boutique
We turned handmade baking into a brand language for everything people want to say.

Massimo is a contemporary bakery boutique built around a simple truth: baked goods are rarely just food. They are gifts, gestures and reasons to gather. We refined the identity into a flexible system that feels artistic and human while giving every box, screen and campaign the consistency of a premium retail brand. Brand idea: Horneamos sentimientos, we bake feelings.

Brand + Social Launch SystemA bakery designed around what the gesture means.
Massimo creates products for the moments that do not always need a speech: celebrating someone, saying thank you, showing up with something thoughtful or making an ordinary afternoon feel special. The opportunity was to build an identity that could hold both sides of that experience. It needed the spontaneity and warmth of something made by hand, but also the clarity, consistency and perceived value expected from a contemporary bakery boutique.

The product as a thoughtful gesture between people.
Keeping the handmade energy without letting the brand feel improvised.
The original identity had recognizable ingredients: a tall hand-drawn wordmark, expressive brush marks and an unconventional palette. But when every application relied on paint strokes with the same intensity, the system could quickly become visually noisy and the product could lose prominence. We retained the character people could remember and introduced a clearer hierarchy. The wordmark became more balanced, the brush language became more controlled, and secondary assets were created for small-format packaging, digital interfaces and content.

Controlled gestures and repeatable assets for packaging and communication.
Horneamos sentimientos.
The brand does not begin with flour, butter or chocolate. It begins with the reason someone places an order. To celebrate. To say thank you. Just because. “Horneamos sentimientos” gives Massimo a platform larger than a menu. It connects products, gifting, packaging and communication through one emotional idea without becoming sentimental or overly sweet. Made by hand. Chosen with meaning.

A product-led ecommerce and mobile ordering direction.
Artistic by nature. Disciplined by design.
The refined wordmark preserves Massimo's tall, personal letterforms while improving spacing, rhythm and legibility. Its irregularity still feels human; its structure now performs consistently across signage, packaging and screens. A compact lockup supports narrower formats. A whisk-and-heart seal creates a recognizable signature for stickers, closures and small applications. The expressive “M” works as a simple shorthand when the full name is unnecessary. The system feels handmade without relying on a literal bread, cake or cupcake icon.

Primary, compact, circular and monogram configurations.
A palette that balances warmth with appetite.
Warm ivory gives the identity light and space. Dusty rose introduces affection without turning the bakery overly feminine. Deep petroleum adds contrast and sophistication. Caramel references crust, butter and baking, while charcoal grounds the system and keeps the typography clear. The narrow display lettering carries the emotional voice of the brand. A clean supporting sans serif organizes product information and digital interfaces with greater precision.

A tactile palette balancing warmth, appetite and contemporary restraint.
Every stroke comes from a movement made in the bakery.
The brush language was reinterpreted as a set of controlled gestures inspired by spreading, glazing, dusting and wrapping. Instead of covering every surface, the strokes frame information, mark an edge or guide attention toward the product. The secondary pattern combines the Massimo name, the “M” and the whisk-and-heart seal at different scales. It gives tissue paper, box interiors and digital backgrounds a recognizable texture without competing with the food.

The identity translated into materials, signage and retail atmosphere.
Packaging that makes the product feel like a gift before the box is opened.
The packaging system is built from a small number of coordinated components: ivory boxes, colored sleeves, patterned tissue, message cards, seals and ribbon. The structure allows Massimo to package cookies, laminated pastries, loaf cakes and mixed gift assortments while maintaining one recognizable experience. Brush accents are concentrated around edges and closures. The center remains clean so the wordmark and the quality of the product lead the composition.

A coordinated gifting experience for cookies, pastries and loaf cakes.
The warmth of the bakery, organized for ordering.
The digital system translates the same identity into a cleaner, more functional environment. Product photography takes priority, the brush elements become navigation accents, and the palette creates clear distinctions between discovery, selection and checkout. The experience is designed to help customers choose by product or by intention: whether they are ordering for a celebration, a thank-you or an everyday craving.

The rules that keep every application recognizable.

Modular content for products, occasions and emotional messages.
One idea, many reasons to share it.
The social system alternates appetite-led photography, short emotional messages, pattern moments and product information. This creates a feed with enough variation to remain engaging without losing brand recognition. “Para celebrar. Para agradecer. Porque sí.” gives campaigns a flexible structure that can support product launches, gifting moments and always-on content without inventing a different concept every week.

Feed and story pieces from the launch content system.

One product, many reasons to choose it.
A more mature identity without losing what made Massimo personal.
The evolved system keeps the spontaneity of the original brand and gives it the discipline needed to grow across products and channels. Massimo can now feel expressive without becoming chaotic, premium without becoming distant, and emotional without relying on clichés. The result is a bakery identity built not only around what is baked, but around why someone chooses to give it.
